    In a time of pick-and-pay itineraries, Pelorus goes against the industry grain and puts the focus on the experience, designing individual holidays according to the client’s brief. We work exclusively with a network of industry leaders, who allow us to consider areas and experiences that most travel companies do not give a second thought.     SUMMARY
    • Growing the Private Adventures business and team
    • Working closely with suppliers and industry individuals to keep your finger on the experiential travel sector pulse
    • Planning extraordinary adventures, experiences and events in some of the most interesting and remote parts of the planet
    • Working with a fast moving, young, dynamic and highly motivated team
    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Project planning: creating numerous options and ideas for clients to choose from.  Working closely with suppliers, local authorities and subject matter experts from around the world and ensuring that each detail is thought through to deliver a world class experience.
    • Management: as member of the Pelorus leadership team, report to Directors and be prepared to manage a small project team. Ensure high standards of client and supplier management.
    • Logistics: Full responsibility for all project logistics, including itineraries, contingencies, safety procedures, equipment sourcing and ownership of all aspects of logistics and costing of trips. Ensuring all communications, safety procedures, permits, travel requirements and insurance are in place.Project finances: work with the Directors, oversee all trip costing to ensure all aspects are covered including, contingencies, invoices, payments to suppliers, consultants and relevant third parties.Working with a fast moving, young, dynamic and highly motivated team

    JOB SPECIFICATION

    Personal Specification:

    • Logical thinker with good commercial mind-set
    • Good problem solver and solution provider
    • Strong numerical skills in order to overseas all financial aspects of each project
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
    • Team player who can also work autonomously
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent planning and time management, with exceptional attention to detail

    Essential experience:

    • At least 5 years’ experience in travel or events and of planning trips and project management
    • Previous team management experience
    • Previous financial responsibility

    Desirable experience:

    • Project management qualifications
    • Black book of relevant contacts worldwide

    Qualifications:

    • Degree (or equivalent)
    • Languages (desirable)

    Pelorus is looking for an enthusiastic Project Intern to be part of our exciting and innovative Private Adventures team. The future is exciting for Pelorus so now is a fantastic time to join and gain some hands-on experience. This internship experience would be ideal for a creative and ambitious individual who’s comfortable multitasking and strives to deliver exceptional work.

    Not only would you be working alongside this great team, but also the wider company and with suppliers and industry individuals to help keep our finger on the experiential travel sector pulse. You will help researching and building extraordinary experiences in some of the most interesting and remote parts of the planet and gain hands-on experience in a young, dynamic and highly motivated team.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
    • Researching exciting experiences and itineraries for our website and for client trips

    • Joining planning brainstorms with the team across all three areas of the Pelorus business

    • Working closely with Pelorus founders and the senior management team
    • Contacting and building relationships with suppliers and experts from around the world

    • Showing creativity to continue making the experiences we create truly world class

    • Supporting our marketing team by adding experiences and properties to the website

    • Building exceptional and powerful presentations for clients

    • Helping to build our image library

    Pelorus is looking for an enthusiastic and creative content intern to join our marketing team.  The future is exciting for Pelorus so now is a fantastic time to join and gain some hands-on experience with some exciting projects with our young, dynamic and highly motivated team.

    This internship experience would be ideal for a creative and ambitious individual who’s comfortable multitasking and is looking to build on or develop content marketing skills. You would have the opportunity to research and create your own content, as well as to help deliver editorial content with partners and other teams within the business too.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
    • Helping to build and run an editorial calendar across all three areas of the Pelorus business 

    • Researching and writing your own features and interviews

    • Managing the new stories section of the Pelorus website with our other team members

    • Working alongside our digital marketing team members to plan and build content for SEO

    • Working closely with Pelorus founders and senior management team 
    • Loading new articles and features to the website

    • Helping to proof and edit copy across the business and providing feedback

    • Building out and improving an image library

    • Creative person with lots of ideas

    • Looking to develop content marketing skills and editorial experience

    • Works well in a team and comfortable managing your own time too

    • Exceptional grasp of the English language

    • Great communication skills
