Pelorus is recruiting for Director of Pelorus Travel. This new hire will own and manage the development of the Travel Team, identify, acquire and build a strong book of suitable clients for the Pelorus Travel business. This role requires senior or director level experience working alongside business owners and directors, and will be fully responsible for the Travel Team.

To succeed in this role you will need to attend seminars, events, trade and consumer shows. A background in key accounts management is ideal. You will need to demonstrate a track record of generating revenue and achieving targets. Having an established network of industry contacts, specifically premium or private travel would be beneficial along with experience of working in fast-pace environments that require laser-focused prioritisation.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of 7+ years in senior-level Manager or Director
  • Established network of contacts in the premium/private travel and luxury sectors
  • Demonstrated history of generating revenue and meeting targets
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccably organised and accurate in execution
  • Analytical mindset and digital proficiency
  • Experience of fast-pace environments that require laser-focused prioritisation

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full responsibility for all Pelorus Travel business development
  • Managing a young dynamic and highly motivated Management team
  • Overall responsibility for achievements of team targets, communications and task delegation
  • Following up on new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Communicating new product developments to perspective clients
  • Identify, access and sign up UHNWI/HNWI as repeat clients
  • Ensure high standards of client and supplier management
  • Attending and representing Pelorus at key industry events
