Pelorus is looking to recruit a senior marketing professional for a 6/7-month Head of Marketing maternity cover role, starting later this year. Based in our London office on a hybrid basis. This position will join the management team and be responsible for management of the marketing team, therefore the candidate must have experience operating at that level within an organisation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of full brand and marketing strategy for Pelorus group, with significant attention in the Travel and Yachting business areas
  • Drive increased marketing activity globally, with particular focus on US growth with our US team
  • Collaborate with BD & Partnerships team on a regular basis
  • Management of marketing budget and forecasting
  • Lead the digital team in introducing improved digital and offline attribution
  • Oversee the delivery of a clear, commercial, and innovative campaign calendar with improved reporting
  • Drive significant website performance improvements
  • Facilitate successful agency relationships
  • Full leadership of the marketing team, across campaigns, content, comms and digital.
  • Maintain regular team meetings, performance review sessions and training
  • Continue and improve upon regular marketing performance reporting sessions, including leadership team and board reporting
  • Oversee marketing recruitment requirements
  • Work alongside the Pelorus Foundation team to improve cross-marketing opportunities
  • Continually searching for ways to innovate and position Pelorus as a forward-thinking brand

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years’ experience within a management position, with at least 8 years’ wider marketing experience
  • Experience within a luxury travel business
  • Knowledge of yachting and luxury brands preferrable
  • Working knowledge of all key areas of marketing, with proven experience with GA, Adwords and SEO tools
  • Proven experience managing website development and optimisation projects
  • Experience working within a young and ambitious business preferrable
