Due to an exciting new business opportunity, Pelorus is recruiting for a senior level project lead, permanently based in Saudi Arabia. This new hire will own and manage the development of a new inbound destination management company in a newly emerging tourism market. Covering everything from the initial business plan to launch and development. This role requires senior or director level experience working alongside business owners or directors within the travel space, and will be working alongside Pelorus group CEO. 



  • Full ownership of an exciting project involving a start-up enterprise with multiple verticals. 
  • Working closely with stake holders and industry individuals to build and execute on a business plan and strategy.
  • Planning extraordinary adventures, experiences in a corner of the world new to the travel industry.  
  • Working with a fast moving, young, dynamic, and highly motivated team.
  • Will involve regular travel to the middle east.


  • Business planning: assist in creating a robust and ambitious business plan for a new inbound Destination Management Company.
  • Project Management: manage an exciting strategic project with multiple business facets from start to launch, ensuring that each detail is thought through to deliver a world class project. Potential for experiential and property projects.
  • Project finances: work with stakeholders, oversee all forecasting, budgets and project costings to ensure all aspects are covered including project P&L.
  • Management: report to stakeholders and be prepared to manage a growing project team. Ensure high standards of client and supplier management.
  • Product Development: identify and create innovative travel experiences with an eye for commercial opportunities.

  • Logical thinker with good commercial mind-set
  • Good problem solver and solution provider
  • Strong numerical skills in order to overseas all financial aspects of each project
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Team player who can also work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning and time management, with exceptional attention to detail

Essential experience:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in travel or senior project management or hotel development
  • Previous strategic management experience
  • Previous financial responsibility at company P&L level

Desirable experience:

  • Project management qualifications
  • Previous experience in the middle east


  • Degree (or equivalent)
  • Languages (desirable)
