On Kenya’s beautiful south coast, Alfajiri Villas can be found on the edge of Diani – one of Kenya’s best beaches. There are three completely unique villas here, each of which can be booked individually for honeymoons or family gatherings, and come complete with a dedicated butler, private swimming pool, and direct beach access. For couples, opt for the Cliff Villa with its romantic turret suite. For families, the Garden Villa boasts rolling lawns whilst the Beach Villa’s infinity pool seemingly flows straight into the ocean. Inside, the décor reflects the local heritage and Asian influences, with bright, flowing fabrics, high Makuti roofs, wooden beams, and beautifully carved Lamu doors.
If you can tear yourself away from your villa, explore the lush gardens or cool off in the swimming pool at the edge of a small cliff that juts into the sea. There’s a full menu of activities here, including snorkelling coral reefs, community visits to orphanages and local villages, and of course, all the water sports that this area is renowned for. Golfers will enjoy the nearby 18-hole championship course with incredibly scenic views, while guests in need of pampering can unwind in the sauna and enjoy an open-air massage.
Being so close to the ocean, it’s only natural that the cuisine spotlights the incredibly fresh seafood. The Mediterranean-inspired menus will be tailor-made to you and your clan, served in the comfort of your villa. Olive oil and cheese arrive weekly from Europe, fresh seafood comes in daily from the beach (think crab, prawns, lobsters and octopus), while fresh, seasonal vegetables are sourced from the local farms.
