Surroundings

Situated in the north-east of Crete, Domes of Elounda is perched on a hillside, overlooking the beautiful Mirabello Bay of Elounda, with the sea and Spinalonga Island beyond. Flanked by olive groves and craggy rocks, this scenic spot is perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the private, sandy beach.

Design

There are several room categories here, making the resort ideal for both couples and families: from suites and private residences all the way up to luxury villas. Inside, the earthy colour palette is enhanced by wood and other natural textures, feeling serene. Each villa is equipped with either a pool or a jacuzzi, and there’s an abundance of both indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. The laidback luxury feel extends out to the five pools and beachfront, lined with olive trees and wooden decking. The hotel is family-friendly, and there are plenty of facilities and activities to keep little ones entertained, as well as a number of separate adult-only areas and quieter zones to enjoy.

Cuisine

There are four dining options to choose from, including Frureo (Japanese-Peruvian) and Blend Steakhouse (Italian fusion). But the jewel in the hotel's crown is the impressive beachfront TOPOS 1910, an à la carte seafood restaurant for those who want to experience some of the island's most exquisite.

Soma Spa

The hotel’s Soma Spa is contemporary with black mosaics complemented with gold details that set the mood. Treatments hark back to the traditions of Minoan Crete, making use of innovative Elemis products, equipment and specialist practises that offer guests an inside-out transformation. With an indoor seawater pool surrounded by sun loungers as well as a hammam, sauna, steam room, frigidarium and tepidarium, you’ll leave fully restored.

Sustainability

This accommodation protects the environment through solar, PV, heat pumps, water conservation programmes, staff eco training. It also preserves local culture through educating guests and promoting local cuisine and enhances local economies through supporting local businesses and vendors, working with local fishermen, and employing locally.

Why we love it

The Core is the resort’s sprawling green urban space where art, gastronomy, wellness and culture all come together. Expect pop-up shops and art installations, food trucks and open-air concerts. There’s also a playground, zipline, yoga pavilion, football pitches and tennis courts. Designed by award-winning architects, The Core elevates Elounda’s offering even further.
