Glenfeshie Estate is at the heart of ancient Caledonian woodlands, interspersed with sparkling rivers and lochs, and encircled by Britain’s wildest and most extensive mountain massif. The landscape here is breathtaking from every angle, and this peacefully secluded locale is home to over 5,000 species of wildlife, 20% of which are considered ‘Nationally Rare’.
Arriving by a single-track road that winds its way through the pine forests, the drive up to the lodge dramatically sets the tone for your stay. The grandeur of the glen, coupled with its wide flowing river, will captivate your senses as you marvel at the everchanging scenery before you.
The lodge itself dates back to the 1880s and can host parties of up to 12 guests on an exclusive and fully catered basis. Fit for royalty, Glenfeshie once played host to Queen Victoria, the Crown Prince of Denmark, and, more recently, the cast of the television series, The Crown.
Stepping through the ancient front door and greeted by crackling fires, the comfortable and traditional interiors – designed by Ralph Lauren – feature a historic dining room, tartan-clad living room, and cosy bedrooms with open views of the hilly landscape and neighbouring river. There’s one ensuite master bedroom, three ensuite doubles, one large ensuite single, and two further single bedrooms.
