Located to the south-east of the Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 is a rocky mass protruding from the ocean, a unique feature that carries through onto the front garden where you can relax amongst comfy seating and a jacuzzi, surrounded by natural rock formations as you admire the view of Nólsoy Island. Taking inspiration from his many sailing trips to Great Britain and the vast natural landscape of Tórshavn, Havgrímur Johannesen designed all the rooms with the innate colours of the surrounding fields, fjords and ever-changing sky.

Just past the harbour of Tórshvan, this historic boutique hotel is the perfect base to explore the capital of the Faroe Islands, where you’ll experience an exceptional blend of cultural heritage and progressive fashion and culinary scenes. Start the morning discovering the local town on mountain bikes with an expert guide, join local fisherman on a sport fishing experience, and meet a Faroese fashion designer to learn about how tradition and modern design co-exist. Wake to the sound of crashing waves and a traditionally prepared breakfast before embarking on a private boat trip for the day around Drangarnir, Tindhólmur and Múlafossur waterfall.
