Five different camps, each providing a unique experience
Three Private Granite Suites, offering elephant viewings
Activities: Game drives, leopard tours, elephant sittings, the big five, wellness retreats
Situated in 34,000 acres of African bush with some of the continent’s best big five game viewing opportunities. The most exclusive of the five exquisite Londolozi camps, the private granite suites sit along the banks of a meandering river and are a celebration of elegance and elephants. This remarkable river setting offers an extraordinary experience and the chance to watch elephants as they wander the riverbank. Flanked by an extrusion of granite rocks this secluded spot offers total privacy. Stone walls echo the smooth stones that run along the riverbank, whilst thatched vaulted ceilings add a cathedral feel to the suites. These high ceilings create a cool airy atmosphere adding to the spacious rooms. An elephant grey palate is used throughout the décor, focusing on the natural world around wood, stone, and wicker adding organic textures throughout. Whitewashed walls are contrasted by dark wooden floorboards or brushed stonework, whilst ornate fabrics and textured cushions add to the overwhelmingly luxurious feel. The suites convey Africa’s raw essence with a contemporary and elegant style. An outdoor freestanding bath allows you to unwind sat just above the river bank and watch as families of elephants wander past. Alternatively, take a dip in the private pool to escape the heat of the day.
The suites create a seamless integration with nature, offering uninterrupted views with large doors and windows opening directly onto the Sand River. With open-sided living spaces and a sunset river bar and sunken cocktail lounge suspended high above the Sand River, the suites blend the boundaries between inside and out. The deck is filled with the warm glow of candlelight come nightfall with overhanging trees dotted with wicker lanterns. Sit next to a crackling firepit and listen to the sounds of the bush or marvel at the stars in all their glory in the seemingly never-ending night sky.

Why we love it
Londolozi considers superb African cuisine to be an essential part of the experience it offers. Start your morning off with home-made morsels on the game drive, followed by a more indulgent breakfast or a lazy al fresco lunch. Spend your evenings enjoying an intimate dinner or a traditional fireside banquet.
