Londolozi sits on 34,000 acres of African bush with some of the continent’s best Big Five game viewing opportunities. The most exclusive of the five exquisite Londolozi camps, the Private Granite Suites sit along the banks of a meandering river and are a celebration of elegance and elephants (watch as they wander along the riverbank). Flanked by an extrusion of granite rocks this secluded spot offers total privacy. Stone walls echo the smooth stones outside, whilst thatched vaulted ceilings add a cathedral feel to the suites and make the rooms feel spacious.
An elephant grey palate is used throughout, with wood, stone and wicker adding organic textures. Whitewashed walls are contrasted by dark wooden floorboards or brushed stonework, with ornate fabrics and textured cushions adding to the luxurious feel. An outdoor freestanding bath allows you to unwind as you sit just above the river bank and watch as families of elephants wander past. Alternatively, take a dip in the private pool to escape the heat of the day.
The suites create a seamless integration with nature, offering uninterrupted views with large doors and windows opening directly onto the Sand River. With open-sided living spaces and a sunset river bar and sunken cocktail lounge suspended high above the Sand River, the suites blend the boundaries between inside and out. The deck is filled with the warm glow of candlelight come nightfall with overhanging trees dotted with wicker lanterns. Sit next to a crackling firepit and listen to the sounds of the bush or marvel at the stars in all their glory in the seemingly never-ending night sky.
