Spread across luscious gardens, Ndali’s comfortable cottages overlook rolling hills peppered with banana plantations and crater lakes. Designed using local materials, each thatched room is delightfully spacious with thoughtful details such as fresh flowers and cosy rugs throughout. Enjoy a deep tub in your en-suite bathroom before savouring mesmerising views from a private terrace of the Rwenzori mountains and beyond.

 

Feel at home in the authentic main lodge where a rustic charm exudes. Within the timber and stone structure, large windows welcome breath-taking vistas and inviting French doors open onto a picturesque veranda where vines dangle above. Admire beautiful wildlife artwork and take comfort in the library where a diverse array of books and fantastic telescope will keep you entertained. 

Activities

Delight in mouth-watering meals beneath the glow of candlelight and share stories around Ndali’s communal table or alfresco beneath twinkling stars. Explore the lodge’s colourful grounds and follow the slope steeply down to Lake Nyinambuga where swimming and kayaking is actively encouraged. Soak up warm African sunshine, marvel at the plethora of birdlife and look out for five different species of kingfisher.

Sustainability

The main lodge and cottages rely on solar-charged lighting after dark. Ndali has a strong partnership with the local community and has generated employment and development opportunities as a result. Through its charity ‘Ndali Ventures,’ the lodge supports education and sponsors over 20 students to attend pre-school through to university. A nursery has been built in the local area.
