Design

This is a truly unique property that sets the standards for outrageous design and opulent luxury whilst matching the majestic splendour of the natural surroundings. The stone built individually designed cottages play host to 14 guests with seven double rooms whilst the main house serves are a base for mealtimes and socialising, equipped with spa and gym facilities as well as a cinema room and multiple lounges. Constructed from timber, stone and thatch, all of the buildings blend beautifully into the landscape and the décor reflects Africa with beautifully hand-crafted furniture with incredibly authentic antique treasures.

Cuisine

The dining experience at Ol Jogi is exquisite with the resident French chef having worked at the property for decades with his own private gardens growing fresh ingredients. Lunches are an informal affair with inventive salads and meats whilst dinner is more sophisticated in grandeur.  Surprise bush lunch and dinners will be put on throughout your stay where you can feast on gourmet meals overlooking the breath-taking landscapes.

Wildlife and Activities

This private conservancy is home to impressive wildlife, including the Big Five and the endangered African wild dogs and black rhinos. During your stay you will be free to explore the great plains whenever and however you so please via foot, jeep, or horseback accompanied by expert guides and rangers. Between game excursions to your own private landscape head down to the glorious pool hidden in tropical jungle plants to cool off and relax or if you fancy a more energetic activity, head to the tennis or squash court or use the gym facilities. The Moroccan inspired spa is also available to ensure you can escape to a serene and tranquil environment and end the day with a relaxing massage or spa treatment.

Sustainability

Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy aims to create an economically sustainable African conservation model, with wildlife at the forefront. The property provides employment for 300 local staff and has established a school for the children of its staff making it the only one of its kind on any Kenyan conservancy.

Its extensive CSR programme improves local livelihoods and on top of this Ol Jogi generates local support for its conservation initiatives by demonstrating that wildlife sustains the Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy as an entity

Why we love it

Take to the skies and set off on an adventure in Ol Jogi’s own helicopter and set about exploring the region with an aerial view. Soar high above Mount Kenya, the Samburu and the famous geological Great Rift Valley.
