Design

Known as ‘Stone Ruins’ the monastic quality of the beautiful wooden and stone architecture combined with the use of natural materials throughout the property creates a soothing effect. The main pavilion houses an intimate living area, library, bar, and dining room all framed by floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the stunning setting. If you’re after seclusion, retreat to your villa specifically crafted out of natural timber, with local touches such as bukharis (traditional wood-burning stoves) and huge windows to make the most out of the abundant mountain skies.

Cuisine & Wellness

The cuisine at Paro is inspired by seasonality, with wholesome, flavourful dishes produced from organic local produce. The spirituality of Bhutan inspires the spa and bespoke wellness programme at Paro. With treatments utilising their own herbal garden and expert practitioners to guide you to optimal well-being, serving up knowledge and inspiration to maximise these habits in your life once you return home.

Why we love it

There are some truly memorable dining experiences to be had at Six Senses. Dine in the Chubjakha ruin while learning about the feudal history of Bhutan or visit a local farmhouse for an immersive family meal. If you want to keep it intimate stay and enjoy the exceptionally fresh and smoky flavours of an evening barbeque brought to your personal villa.
