The resort is decked out with white-washed wood with hints of purple and green to compliment the transparent gleaming waters. The majority of villas are over-water and allow for direct access into the lagoon, however, there is also the option to stay on the island within the verdant jungle environment. Each villa comes with its own private, thirteen metre infinity pool with adjacent wooden steps leading down into the lagoon. Above the bed is a retractable roof which is perfect for star gazing at night in your own comfort. Each bathroom is open air with a sunken bathtub and large rainfall shower. Other features include hanging swing chairs, high end wooden fans, and the signature water slides located on the second floor of the villas. With a contemporary design and modern furnishings, all villas are chic and highly comfortable, each boasting several areas to relax and dine in.

The Gathering forms the heart of the resort, a three storey overwater structure which is home to dining outlets as well as the spa, observatory, and library. There are several unique and innovative dining options to choose from. All produce is sourced locally with many ingredients having been caught or picked that day from the surrounding area. We would recommend heading to the “guess who’s cooking” night and sit at the chefs table with a handful of friends for a mystery menu. If a picnic is what you fancy in an idyllic spot, the staff can arrange a trip to a private deserted location where you can take a dip in the crystal-clear blue lagoon with an in-house snorkelling guide while your chef prepares gourmet temptations in this intimate setting.

Activities are endless at Soneva Jani, with the main attraction being water-based activities as the coral reefs are thriving with life. A diving centre is located onsite with multi-lingual PADI instructors and small group sizes ensure you have a world-class diving experience. If snorkelling is something that you particularly enjoy, take an aquatic adventure through the Noonu Atoll and discover Maldivian marine life, guided by marine biologists and discover the atoll native turtles and rays. If true relaxation is what you are after, head down to the spa where can immerse yourself into a tranquil environment and enjoy a full menu of treatments.
