MARKETING MANAGER

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to create and implement a company-wide marketing strategy that will help to build PELORUS into an industry-leading brand. The successful candidate will be based in our central London office and work closely with directors and department heads to build timely cross-channel marketing campaigns, as well as overseeing all digital marketing.

Core responsibilities:

  • Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives
  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities
  • Overseeing the company’s marketing budget
  • Manage all company events to help with brand exposure
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans
  • Planning and implementing promotional campaigns
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Preparing online and print marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
  • Creating a wide range of different marketing materials
  • Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives

PROJECT EXECUTIVE

We are excited to be looking for the latest addition to our expanding Private Adventures team, based in our central London office. This role would be suited to a creative, organised and detail-oriented person who thrives in a dynamic working environment and has a true passion for helping our clients discover some of the world’s most interesting locations.

Core responsibilities:

  • Working closely with suppliers and industry individuals to keep your finger on the experiential travel sector pulse
  • Planning extraordinary adventures, experiences and events in some of the most interesting and remote parts of the planet
  • Working with a fast moving, young, dynamic and highly-motivated team
  • Trip planning: creating numerous options and ideas for clients to choose from. Working closely with suppliers, local authorities and subject matter experts from around the world and ensuring that each detail is thought through to deliver a world class experience
  • Management: ensure high standards of client and supplier management
  • Logistics: full responsibility for all project logistics, including itineraries, contingencies, safety procedures, equipment sourcing and ownership of all aspects of logistics. Ensuring all communications, safety procedures, permits, travel requirements and insurance are in taken care of
  • Project finances: work with the Private Adventures Manager to oversee all trip costing to ensure all aspects are covered including, contingencies, invoices, payments to suppliers, consultants and relevant third parties
  • Content: jointly responsible for creating new and enticing content for the PELORUS website by sourcing, researching, costing and writing up new sample itinerary trips to demonstrate the breadth of experiences offered by PELORUS to our clients

  • Strong numerical skills in order to overseas all financial aspects of each project

  • At least 2 years’ experience in travel or events and of planning trips and project management
  • Experience in logistics, equipment and expedition/event administration

MEDIA INTERN

We are seeking an intern with a passion for travel and adventure journalism to work on our fast-growing online magazine Elements. From interviews with record-breaking explorers and yacht designers to gear round-ups and first-person travel features, we have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline for the right, enthusiastic candidate to get involved with.

We are looking for someone who will hit the ground running – ideally someone who has experience in travel and is hugely excited about a future career in journalism. Tasks will include writing, editing, proofing, occasional press commitments, social media, image sourcing, and copywriting for the website. You will be working directly with the Editor from the PELORUS office in Shepherd’s Bush.

Experience in photography and social media are a plus, but not requirements.

  • Research: Conducting thorough research of locations and potential experiences around the world from the which the project teams can build on.
  • Administration: being responsible for company and team administration.
