AGENCY ACCOUNT MANAGER

The Account Executive / Manager will be a key addition to the expanding Agency, managing corporate and brand experiences within the wider Pelorus team. Based in our central London offices, this role would be suited to a creative, organised and detail-oriented person who thrives on the ‘start-up style’ environment. This must sit alongside a true passion for new thinking around brand/client goals in order to achieve the most well-considered solution: adding true experiential value project by project.

Core Responsibilities

  • Exceptional ideation and delivery across all events and experiences, from inception to delivery
  • Manage preparation of creative content and ideas for assigned event/experience briefs
  • Proficient client management skills with strong interpersonal skills and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Develop and manage client budgets with bullet-proof attention to detail
  • Deliver against financial profitability targets set, with strong commercial acumen
  • Support the Head of Agency in identifying business growth opportunities

Personal Specification

  • 3+ years agency and / or client-side experience
  • Well-connected and regarded within the industry
  • Creative ‘experience’ led thinking

PRIVATE ADVENTURES PROJECT MANAGER

We are excited to be looking for the latest addition to our great and expanding Private Adventures team, based in our central London offices. This role would be suited to a creative, organised and detail-oriented person who thrives in a dynamic working environment and has a true passion for helping our clients to discover some of the world’s most interesting locations. Summary

  • Working closely with suppliers and industry individuals to keep your finger on the experiential travel sector pulse
  • Planning extraordinary adventures, experiences and events in some of the most interesting and remote parts of the planet
  • Working with a fast moving, young, dynamic and highly-motivated team

Core Responsibilities

  • Trip planning: creating numerous options and ideas for clients to choose from.  Working closely with suppliers, local authorities and subject matter experts from around the world and ensuring that each detail is thought through to deliver a world class experience.
  • Management: ensure high standards of client and supplier management.
  • Logistics: full responsibility for all project logistics, including itineraries, contingencies, safety procedures, equipment sourcing and ownership of all aspects of logistics. Ensuring all communications, safety procedures, permits, travel requirements and insurance are in taken care of.
  • Project finances: work with the Private Adventures Manager to oversee all trip costing to ensure all aspects are covered including, contingencies, invoices, payments to suppliers, consultants and relevant third parties.
  • Content: jointly responsible for creating new and enticing content for the PELORUS website by sourcing, researching, costing and writing up new sample itinerary trips to demonstrate the breadth of experiences offered by PELORUS to our clients.

Personal Specification

  • Logical thinker with good commercial mind-set
  • Good problem solver and solution provider
  • Strong numerical skills in order to overseas all financial aspects of each project
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

Essential experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in travel or events and of planning trips and project management

YACHT EXPEDITIONS PROJECT MANAGER

This role would be suited to a creative, organised and detail-oriented person who thrives in a dynamic working environment and has a true passion for helping our clients to discover some of the world’s most interesting locations. Summary:

  • Working closely with brokers, captains and industry individuals to keep your finger on the yacht sector pulse
  • Planning and delivering extraordinary yacht expeditions and adventures in some of the most interesting and remote parts of the planet
  • Working directly with clients to ensure their needs are met and managing projects from inception to delivery and post trip feedback
  • Working with a fast moving, young, dynamic and highly motivated team

Core responsibilities

  • Yacht Expedition Planning: creating numerous options and ideas for clients to choose from.  Working closely with Captains, Agents, local authorities and subject matter experts from around the world and ensuring that each detail is thought through to deliver a world class experience
  • Management: as member of the PELORUS Yachting team, reporting to HOD and prepared to work as a key part of a small project team. Ensure high standards of client and supplier communications are maintained
  • Logistics: Full responsibility for all project logistics, including itineraries, contingencies, safety procedures, equipment sourcing and ownership of all aspects of logistics and costing of trips. Ensuring all communications, safety procedures, permits, travel requirements and insurance are in place
  • Project finances: work with HOD to oversee all trip costing to ensure all aspects are covered including contingencies, invoices, payments to suppliers, consultants and relevant third parties

EDITORIAL INTERN

We are seeking an intern with a passion for travel and adventure journalism to work on our fast-growing online magazine Elements. From interviews with record-breaking explorers and yacht designers to gear round-ups and first-person travel features, we have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline for the right, enthusiastic candidate to get involved with. We are looking for someone who will hit the ground running – ideally someone who has experience in travel and is hugely excited about a future career in journalism. Tasks will include writing, editing, proofing, occasional press commitments, image sourcing, and copywriting for the website. You will be working at the PELORUS office in central London. Experience in photography and social media are a plus, but not requirements. Personal specification
