There are few places in the world that the majestic tiger roams as wild and free as they do at the Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge in the Chitwan National Park. Explore the beauty of this jungle region as you embark upon a Nepalese safari, setting out in jeeps alongside an experienced naturalist searching for the elusive wild tigers. Traverse through forest and grassland as dusk, to catch a glimpse of these great cats as they set out on their hunt and patrol their territories. By evening, delight in a traditional feast around a bonfire as you exchange stories from your first wildlife experience.

After breakfast beneath the mango trees, prepare to embark on a private safari on the Narayani River. Sitting inside a hand-crafted boat, keep your eyes peeled for a variety of birdlife and wildlife including the gharial crocodile and its more sinister relative, the marsh mugger. This afternoon, set out on foot through jungle paths as you get closer to the wildlife in their natural habitats. By sunset, return to the Narayani river on foot as you walk alongside the lodge’s resident elephants. Arriving at the river, enjoy sundowners whilst you watch the elephants bathe and frolic in the shimmering waters. This evening before dinner, you will be treated to a traditional Nepali dance performance characterised by brightly coloured costumes and infectious rhythms.
