Remote Adventure in Vietnam

Beyond the buzzing cities, the jungles of Vietnam harbour the secrets of mystical caves and are home to a secretive population of critically endangered Langurs.

When to go: November – April

- Venture deep into dense forest lead by an expert Pelorus guide and embark on a scenic trek with multiple river crossings to test your strength and stamina. On your journey, you will stop at a remote village which is home to a unique ethnic population to learn about their traditional modes of life in an authentic, intimate encounter.

- Here you will witness the earth’s surface opening up to reveal a cave system that’s size is unmatched anywhere else in the world. Roping up under the guidance of Pelorus experts, you will prepare to commence a four-day expedition in which you will climb up, rappel down and scramble across this undulating underground landscape.

- This is a truly exhilarating adventure into a world that few have ever witnessed. Journeying through this extraordinary environment provides an incredible sensory exploration as your eyes and ears adjust to the extreme stillness that comes from being cut off from the world above. As slivers of natural light pierce the darkness, you will have ample opportunity to capture some mesmerising photographs.

- Set up a remote camp in the depths of the cave lead by your expert guide and experience first-hand the grandeur and majesty of your surroundings as you learn key skills for survival in this environment.

- Back above ground, reintegrate into the calming surrounds of a jungle-clad eco retreat and relax after your adventure. Alongside scientists and conservationists, go in search of two of the most curious species, the Delacour’s Langur and the Tonkin snub-nosed monkey. As you explore, you will gain an understanding of and contribute to the projects that seek to protect the largest known population of this critically endangered species.
