Design

Set in a thousand acres of Spanish countryside, the house is beautifully designed to maximise the panoramic views. With vast windows opening out on to the terrace, you can choose between two aqua blue infinity pools with views extending over the valley. La Nava is all about ambience. With light, natural décor to keep the heat outside and modern furnishings blended with more traditional Spanish pieces, which nods to the Iberian heritage, this villa is gloriously comfortable. Find fourteen king sized doubles with en-suites, and the capacity for an extra four rooms if needed, whether your party size is grand or intimate this villa is adaptive.

Dining

Meals are a main event, with regional delicacies and skilled gastronomy. They will propose a menu featuring local specialities, with a focus on seasonality; such as asparagus, grown wild on acres surrounding La Nava, or lamb chops from the local herd of sheep grazing on its pastures. This menu can be altered and tailor-made to suit guests in advance of arrival. In addition, with its own spa and two massage rooms, it provides the ideal spot to unwind after a day exploring in the glorious sunshine.

Sustainability

A team of six ground keepers work all year round to make sure the property's fields are kept in good condition. Animals that live on the property are fed throughout the year allowing the growth and stabilisation of the population of red stags, mouflons, wild boars, partridges, and rabbits. The growth of property-fed species has meant that La Nava has the highest density in Spain of some endangered species such as the Iberian Lynx and Imperial Eagle. Where possible ecologically friendly materials are local produce is used wherever possible. Waste water from La Nava goes through a purification system to reduce pollution and recycling is carried out wherever possible and the house is painted with Graphenstone, an ecological paint with no chemicals or plastics that absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere.

WHY WE LOVE IT

With such an exquisite villa it is tempting to relax and sit by the pool, but the experiences to be had beyond the house are truly unique. The picnic safari echoes the African bush and with a white gloved, table laid, exquisite three course meal for lunch, no luxury has been spared to ensure an unforgettable day's adventure.
