Stemming from her childhood growing up in Brazil, travel and exposure to other cultures have always been of huge significance to Henrietta, known to everyone as ‘H’. Alongside her family, she was fortunate to experience many wonders of South America, from glacier trekking in Ushuaia, to riding across the Andes and piranha fishing in the Peruvian Amazon. This naturally instilled a fierce sense of adventure from a young age, which was later reinforced after she left university and promptly moved to rural Italy for 3 months, before embarking on a two-year stint in Australia.

Back in London, she is now pursuing her dream of working in the travel sector, but will often swap out city life for her family home on the Isle of Wight, where she is at her happiest swimming in the ocean or sailing with her intrepid mother.

Number one unforgettable travel experience?

Arriving in Pokhara, Nepal and being immediately whisked off to join in on the colourful celebrations of a local’s wedding. Nepal is a very special place – aside from the rugged beauty of its rural landscapes, the Nepalese are indisputably the kindest and most welcoming people I have ever met.

Top of your travel bucket list?

So many countries spring to mind, but I love a mixture of unique cultures with a backdrop of dramatic scenery, so it would have to be Japan.

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

A fellow ‘caulkhead’, I’ve always admired Bear Grylls’ unparalleled thirst for adventure and ability to seek out the extraordinary. He also seems like an all-round fun character with a healthy dose of enthusiasm, which I think is key quality to have in a travel partner. (Plus it would probably prove quite useful being accompanied by a survival expert.)
