Louis has always been fascinated by people, food, adventure, and history, and joins Pelorus having most recently worked at a leading luxury tour operator in their private clients team. Previously he worked on business development and planned high-quality, ultra-luxury travel itineraries for UHNWs, celebrities, aristocrats, and government officials. When not curating life-enhancing trips you will either find Louis on the Isle of Wight swimming, fishing, and barbecuing or in a far-flung destination searching for a waterfall or sipping on a cool beer watching the sun set over the sea.
Number one unforgettable travel experience?
I don’t think it is possible to narrow it down to one. It could be sky diving over Mission Beach in Australia, hot air ballooning over Marrakech, releasing turtles at the One and Only Mandarina in Mexico as part of their conservation project or horse riding on the beach at Nihi Sumba, Indonesia. The list goes on but I suppose if I had to pick – the one that stands out the most at the moment is flying over the Okavango Delta, Botswana in a Cessna 210 Centurion with the sun on my face, watching herds of elephant’s slowly graze the day away below. Take me back.
Top of your travel bucket list?
This changes day to day and the list keeps growing. I find the more I see the more I want to see. Japan is right up there – a few days getting lost in Tokyo followed by some skiing in Niseko or equally stringing up hammocks each night between coconut trees after sun filled days fishing and swimming whilst island hopping in the Philippines would be a dream come true.
Who is your ultimate travel partner?
It has to be my fiancé. She is with me for the majority of my travels and we share a passion for adventure, exploring new cultures and food – she also takes insane photos and is always keen for a margarita – plus she is good when things go wrong.
