Ottie is incredibly interested in people and exploring what makes them who they are. After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Psychology, she is now studying on a part time Psychotherapy and Counselling master’s alongside working at Pelorus. Before Newcastle Ottie spent six months on a ski season in France, followed by three months travelling around Southeast Asia exploring the beautiful culture and spectacular landscapes on offer. In recent years Ottie has travelled around with friends to Florence, Morocco, Scotland, and Wales.

Number one unforgettable travel experience?

Travelling to South Africa, Johannesburg to spend two weeks volunteering at a school for disadvantaged children. Whilst there I had the most incredible time teaching the children to read and write, painting murals on the walls, cooking meals and helping with their sports day. While in South Africa I got to go on my first safari and fell in love with the beauty of South Africa and the outstanding people I found myself surrounded by. I have always loved animals so going on a safari was a bucket list moment for me, especially after what had been an incredible couple of weeks.

Top of your travel bucket list?

Iceland has been at the top of my list for a very long time. Exploring the breathtaking landscape on the back of an Icelandic pony, renowned for their strength and endurance, would be an unforgettable adventure.

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

If I’m allowed more than one it would have to be my siblings. It would be amazing to travel the world with them.
