Travel Industry Awards by TTG

We are delighted to share with you that we have been shortlisted to receive the Responsible Travel Award for the 2021 Travel Industry Awards by TTG.

June 2021

The all-new Travel Industry Awards 2021 by TTG, in association with Virgin Atlantic are uniting the travel industry to celebrate the businesses that have grown stronger over the last year, and highlight the most trusted travel brands. Rooted in sustainability, we are thrilled to be a finalist in a category that we truly believe is the future of travel: the Responsible Travel Award.

Our newly established Pelorus Foundation is a stand-alone charity, built with the goal of protecting hundreds of square miles of wilderness by 2025, by creating and building on projects that accelerate the pace of change towards a more sustainable future. With this goal in mind, our current efforts lie with: Fighting Wildlife Crime, Establishing an Adaptive Reefscape, Protecting Endangered Forests and Pioneering Sea Check Research. The first of many, and most notable, fundraisers has been our Co-Founder Jimmy Carroll’s 3,000 mile row across the Atlantic Ocean for the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in December 2020. Check out their page to discover how you can show your support.

Every travel decision we make this year – and from now on – should be a conscious one. With thanks to our expert contacts on the ground across the globe, you can enrich your travels by supporting the environment, or connecting to people and cultures in a more meaningful way. Adventure travel is tied closely with supporting local communities and we hope this will be more tangible though the rest of 2021, and beyond. We are excited to be shortlisted for such an award following our hard work and dedication towards a more responsible future for travel.
