Design

On an expansive 22-hectare estate, this wooden lodge is nestled between monkey puzzle trees and gives breathtaking views over the Villarica Volcano. Making the most of the panoramic views, huge windows feature throughout, whilst vibrant textiles and hand-woven tapestries give the lodge a unique character. Spacious wooden interiors lend a chalet-style feel and the warm earthy tones and hidden corners lend themselves to cosy evenings looking out at the expansive views. Each option for accommodation features king-sized beds, private bathrooms and lounging spaces, as well as access to all the beautiful communal areas of the lodge.

Cuisine

Mealtimes are one of the highlights at Vira Vira as they follow a farm-to-table approach with all produce focusing on seasonality and locality either from their vegetable garden or local suppliers. Complimented with cheeses from their on-site factory and wines from the vintage wine cellar, there are many culinary delights to indulge in.

Why we love it

The influence of Chilean culture specifically the Mapuche tribe and the local community is evident throughout, giving the lodge a loved charm and authenticity, making you feel instantly at home. Enjoy lunch at a traditional Ruka House and experience the exceptional kindness of the Mapuche community observing their way of life and creativity in creating textiles.
